I took a glassmaking course and created these glass plates by sandwiching a glass design I created between two pieces of glass, then placing the glass form within a mold, then fusing the glass into the mold shape within a furnace. I combined the glass piece with some ceramic pieces to make a multi-material set. The pieces were created using a pottery wheel. After having wheel thrown the clay, I fired the pieces in a kiln before glazing them and firing them again.
