These pieces were created during my internship with the leather and shoemaker Alexandria Wills. I created the shoes by taking my foot measurements and then starting with tracing the midsole, which I cut out of cork and then lined the outside of it with a thin piece of pink leather. I then traced, cut, and lasted (stretched leather into foot shape using a mold) the top toe-covering of the shoe onto this piece using silver leather. I then cut out and attached the bottom sole by gluing it with a strong adhesive and a heating device and attached the heel by cutting out two smaller pieces which I layered and glued at the end of the shoe to create some height. I then glued the memory foam insole on top of the midsole. After having done this, I cut out the top green layer of leather and glued it before using a gold imprint machine for the Alexandria Wills logo and using a hammer and leather tools to carve out the logo on the bottom sole.
